Lab Mixing Mill

1. TWO ROLLERS:- Two Heated Rollers are used in this machine. The Size of these rollers are as Dia 6” and Length 12”. These Rollers are used for mixing the rubber. 
2. Electrical Panel:- An Electrical Panel containing the Following Keys or Switch- A Main ON/ OFF Switch, A Start Button, A Stop Button and Indicator For Three Phase. A Set of Contactor is also used in Electrical Panel For controlling the action of machine.
3. Three Phase Geared Motor:- A Three Phase motor with Geared Assembly is used in this machine. This motor should be upto 5 H.P. The Geared Ratio is 1:32. The Gear Box is Full of Oil and there is indicator in geared box for checking oil level.
4. Limit Switch Rod:- There is an arrangement of Limit Switch for Safety purpose. These Limit Switches are mounted on a rod. When we move this rod in Two and Fro Then machine stop and change the directions.
5. Slider:– The One Roller is mounted on this slider for maintaining the gap between The Rollers. If hard compound is used then we have to maintain the little high gap and start rollers heating then we have to decrease the gap between rollers.

ELECTRICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
As Shown in Electrical Panel we required the following electrical items 

• Three Different Color Indicator. These Indicator are used for Indicating the Phase that Three Phase are obtaining in the machine or not. This is a Three phase machine so it is very necessary to ensure the all three phase.
• Push button. There is Two Push button are used. One Green colour push button For Start The machine and other Red Colour Push Button for Stop the machine.
• Mains On/Off Switch. To on/off the machine from mains we have to used the MCB or Mains Switch. MCB is better becaue it prevents the accident due to overload or overheating.
• Limit Switch. Two NO/NC type limit switch are used in this machine. These Limit Switches are used for Safety purpose. These are mounted on a rod and when we move this rod two and fro then machine stop and start moving in Reverse direction.
• Contactor. Two Contactor are used in this machine. These contactor are used for Automatic control of machine. These contactor are used for Run machine in both directions.

Panel Keys Operations: On the Panel there is so many switches. These switch are used as:-

HOW TO RUN MACHINE:-
To Run this machine we have to Give the 03 Phase Supply 440 Volt. Then we have to ON the mains switch. If three Indicator indicating properly it means all three phase are obtaining in machine. Then by pressing the Green Start Button we can run the machine in forward direction. And By pressing the Red Button we can Stop the machine. If unfortunately, any accident occurs then by pressing the limit switch rod we can run the machine in reverse direction and then by pressing the red button we can stop the machine. After That we have to maintain the gap by moving slider. Then we have to Feed the rubber between these Two Rollers. First we have to feed Low Quantity of Rubber. As the rollers Start Heating we can increase The Quantity of rubber. Upto 2 kg Rubber We can used in this machine. After Feeding the rubber in rollers we have to mix other Chemical powder with this rubber. Then we have to passes the rubber through the rollers for 8 or 10 times. After that a mixing rubber is obtained.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE:-
The Following Points Can be considerd for General Maintenance:-

1. There Should be Grease and Lubricants on Gears.
2. Gear Box Should be fill with oil.
3. Motor Should not be overheated.
4. Limit Switch should be always ok.
5. Phase supply always checked.
